How to Compare Digital Pianos

With so many specifications, how do you compare digital pianos with other digital pianos? Go to the manufacturer website of the digital piano you want to compare. Pull up to models that you are looking at. Pull them up in seperate windows on your computer and make the windows positioned side by side on your computer screen. Pull up the specifications of the digital piano you want to compare and look at them side by side.

On the Yamaha website there is a comparison feature where you can compare digital pianos up to 5 at a time. If you are wanting to compare digital pianos from different manufacturers such as one from Roland and one from Yamaha or Casio, open a window for each digital piano model you are wanting to compare. It may help to print of the specification pages. Then you can highlight the features that are important to you. Specifications from different manufacturers will most likely be out of order so you may want to put a number by the feature and then put that corresponding number by the same feature on your printed pages for the other digital pianos you are wanting to compare.

There may be some feature terms that you don't know what they are. You can search online for those terms to get a clear understanding of what they are. There are many features that won't be that important to you so you can cross them off on each of your pages. Also, a feature that is similar on another digital piano may have a different name. Such as the name of the weighted action on a digital piano for Yamaha may be called "hammer action weighted" and Roland may call it something else. A description of these features on the manufacturer website should be available so you can recognize what the feature is and how it relates on other digital pianos.

If you would like help to compare digital pianos, call our friendly staff at the Piano Gallery. We are here to help. Call us at 1-800-600-9710.
